The 4th Business Intelligence Forum – BUSINESS OUTLOOK 2025

The BUSINESS OUTLOOK 2025, annual Forum, organized by the Business Intelligence Club (BIC), was held at the Metropol Palace Hotel on December 11th, in the presence of top level business leaders.

The forum was divided into several panels: THE ART OF CREATING VALUE, FALSE INFORMATION AND CYBER SECURITY, THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF EXPO 2027, and EXPERIENCES THAT SHAPE LEADERS.

After the official opening of the Forum, we had an interview with Miloš Krivokapić, Group Executive Director of Zepter International. The interview was conducted by Aleksandar Plavšin, Director of BII. During the panel, attendees learned about Zepter’s vision at the time of its founding and its current outlook, as well as the company’s sales strategy in lifestyle products, given that Zepter is known for selling innovative products.

The next panel was dedicated to “False Information and Cybersecurity”. According to the WEF Global Risks Report for 2024, the rise of disinformation and cyber insecurity are highlighted as the most dominant risks. It was particularly interesting to hear the views of our panelists, Periša Puletić, Board Member of Yettel Bank, and Andrej Stojić, Director of Cybersecurity Integrations at Oktracron, about the increasing frequency of cyberattacks and the financial resources companies need to assess cyber risks. Periša Puletić also addressed the security of user data in financial services, the necessity of cooperation between the private and public sectors, and the innovations implemented by Yettel Bank that guarantee greater information and user security.

As in previous years, during the Business Intelligence Forum we have presented the new, 5th anniversary of the business magazine Business Intelligence Review.

The next discussion covered the economic effects of EXPO 2027 and the impact of the event industry on the economy. Our panelists were Dejan Crnomarković, Destination Marketing Manager at the Serbia Convention Bureau, and Mihailo Vesović, Director of the Strategic Analysis Sector at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. The panel was moderated by Dr. Veljko M. Mijušković, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics. The specialized EXPO exhibition will be held in 2027 for a duration of three months, so it was particularly interesting to hear from our speakers how Serbia is preparing from the perspective of the hospitality, tourism, hotel, and related sectors.

The final panel focused on experiences that shape leaders. It was moderated by Ivanka Novaković, one of the most recognized HR experts, with panelists Miloš Jauković, CEO of Dr. Max Serbia, and Sanjin Laganin, Managing Director of Dr. Oetker. Topics and questions addressed in this part of the Forum included leadership legacy, as well as how AI is applied in decision-making and leadership.

After the official part of the Forum, guests had the opportunity to exchange impressions and expand their business networks at the cocktail while enjoying fantastic wines from the Zvonko Bogdan Winery.

Special thanks go to our partners: GP Građevinar, Hotel Metropol Palace, Oktacron, Daita, Yettel Bank, the Association of Serbian Banks, and Delta District.
