5th Business Intelligence Forum – BUSINESS OUTLOOK 2026

The Business intelligence Forum, annual forum, organized by the Business Intelligence Institute (BIC), was held at the Hotel Metropol Palce on December 10th, in the presence of a large number of senior business leaders.

After the official opening by Aleksandar Plavšin, Director of the Business Intelligence Institute, the forum continued with a Master Class “How to Build a Diamond Business”, led by Miša Lukić, one of the latest generation of authentic leaders in the domestic creative industry. His name is not just a brand – it is a metaphor for breaking boundaries and ideas that change the course of business. Today, from Dubai, he is creating a new paradigm in business design through his company New Startegy and is developing Brand Sapiens, a visionary concept that aims to instill awareness, empathy, and responsibility into brands.

Wiener Städtische presented the results of research in the field of risk in the form of quiz for guests at the forum. This was an excellent introduction to our first panel on Cybersecurity with an exceptionally relevant topic in today’s digital age: How much does it cost not to invest in cybersecurity? Who is responsible in case of an incident? The panel was moderated by Attorney Bojana Drobnjak, and the panelists included: Marko Tepavac, Chief Technology Officer at Yettel Bank, Uroš Draškić, FINPRO & Cyber Leader at Marsh Serbia, and Andrej Stojić, Sales Director at Oktacron. On the panel, it was discussed how banks handle user protection, the increasing presence of AI in banking, digitalization, cybersecurity insurance, third-party risk management, responsibility in case of cyberattacks, and other topics of interest to management in companies related to cybersecurity.

As part of our tradition, we have presented the latest print issue of the business magazine Business Intelligence Review (BIR). We have been honored that, this year, Lana Vuković, the magazine’s first editor and an immense friend of our Business Intelligence Institute and Business Intelligence Club, presented magazine to the audience.

The panel on Creating Value from the Perspective of New Generations was moderated by Miloš Ćirić from the company Građevinar, who also grew up in a family business and now owns a young and promising company. His guests, who have already entered family businesses and are significantly contributing to the new era of young generations in the business world, included: Filip Simović, Managing Director of the transport and logistics company M&M Militzer & Münch Serbia, Luka Prelević, Owner and Managing Director of Hellas Direct Insurance, and Tamara Stančev, Managing Director of the family business Ljubex International. In this interesting panel, which attracted many first, second, and third-generation business leaders in the audience, the discussion was focused on the new values and business energy that younger generations seek, overcoming family dynamics and generational differences in management, the dilemmas and pressures new generations face in family businesses, and the mistakes and experiences of business successors in their developmental journey.

As this year’s forum, along with the BIR magazine, was dedicated to building the “Diamond Business,” our partner Zlatare Andrejević prepared an authentic gift for the lucky winner: a diamond in a blister, which was presented to the winner by Kristina Stevanović from Zlatara Andrejević, a family business that has been crafting exclusive jewelry with precious stones for generations. With an 80-year tradition of jewelry making, the business is now run by the third generation.

The closing of the forum featured a lecture by another extraordinary woman and friend of BII, Ivanka Novaković, a psychologist and Senior HR Expert, who provided guests with valuable insights on what we need to know about returning personal energy investments in the upcoming year.

After the official part of the forum, guests had the opportunity to share impressions, expand their business networks, and enjoy a cocktail reception. Additionally, JTI showcased their latest PLOOM device, giving guests the chance to explore its performance.

We extend our special thanks to our partners, who supported the organization of this year’s 5th Business Intelligence Forum: Daita, GP Građevinar, Oktacron, JTI, Interbilanz, Metropol Palace Hotel, Zlatare Andrejević, Honor, Marsh, Wiener Städtische, Yettel Bank, and Salveo.
